Story
Luvie is the village of my ancestors. It is located in the French Alpes. The village has now disappeared, and only a few ruins remain. My great-great-grandfather Lazare Marcellin-Gros left those beautiful mountains in 1855 to work in the silk industry in Lyon where he became a dyer. Luvie is my tribute to him and to all the hard working heroes who have contributed to French “Savoir Faire”.
Today Luvie is a line that includes elegant and colorful printed leggings. They are made in a small series and entirely made in France. The fabric, printing, and labels are woven and printed in the region of Lyon. My project is part of an ethical and ecological approach with a very low carbon footprint, and my suppliers follow rigorous standards of sustainability. I wish to positively contribute to our economic and social fabric. Also to perpetuate a heritage, a know-how and excellence.
